F.C. Nania
Nukunu FCNukunu FC kicked off the 2026/27 UMB Division One League campaign with a hard-fought goalless draw against FC Nania at the Nania FC Park.
In what was a keenly contested season opener, the Wonder Boys showed resilience and discipline to secure a valuable point away from home.
Head Coach Christian Chibueze handed competitive debuts to several new faces, and the team responded with a solid defensive display, keeping a clean sheet against a very experienced Nania side.
Both teams created half-chances in either half, but neither side could find the breakthrough. Nukunu FC looked more threatening in the second half with quick transitions, but the final ball just couldn't find its target.
The result gives the Wonder Boys a positive start to the season as we build momentum for our first home game.
“I'm proud of the boys. To come here and get a point against a tough side like Nania shows our character. We could have won it, but we will take the positives and keep working.”
We now turn our attention to our next fixture as we look to build on this solid start.
Thank you to all our fans who made the trip to support the team!
